Satan Within Me, Satan Without

One day an evil thought passed through my head
And I knew that it wasn’t my own.
The devil had found his way into my soul
But of his entrance I hadn’t known.

So I took the devil from my soul
And dropped him with a "SPLAT."
I kicked him while he was on the ground
And I hit him hard with a bat.
<
I had never used the bat before
So I didn’t wield it well,
But experience doesn’t matter much
When your target already has fell.

I left him on the ground with a broken nose
And warned him to temp me no more
I left him behind in a pool of his blood
And forgot him like Yesterday’s whore.
